职位描述：
1. Examines, diagnoses, andtreats acute andchronic diseases andinjuries of infants andchildren intoyoung adulthood in both the inpatient andoutpatient setting.
2. Prepares andreviews case histories andobtains data through interviews. Examines patients anddetermines x-ray examinations andclinical laboratory tests required.
3. Interprets test results andevaluates examination findings. Conducts ward rounds andprescribes therapy. Administers andprescribes treatment such as antibiotics, drugs, andcompresses. Performs minorsurgical procedures. Determines need forandassists in specialized medical care andtreatment. May be granted additional privileges based on documented proficiency
4. Will agree to serve on at least one hospital/clinic committee.
5. Works on quality improvement activities within the department in collaboration with other pediatricians andDepartment Chairperson
6. Will work closely with the Department Chairperson in supporting departmental goals
7. May be granted additional responsibilities based on consultation with Department Chairperson.
8. Cover out-patient clinic, subspecialty clinic andin-patient duty according to the department’s arrangement
