Responsibility
? Examines, diagnoses, andtreats acute andchronic diseases andinjuries within the scope of Acupuncture andTuina in both outpatient andinpatient setting （optional）.
? Prepares andreviews case histories andobtains data through interviews.
? Examines patients anddetermines x-ray examinations andclinical laboratory tests required. Interprets test results andevaluates examination findings.
? Conducts ward rounds （optional） andprescribes therapy.
? Administers andprescribes treatment such as antibiotics, drugs, andcompresses.
? Performs minorsurgical procedures.
? Determines need forandassists in specialized medical care andtreatment.
? Be granted additional privileges based on documented proficiency.
? Work on quality improvement activities within the department in collaboration with other Acupuncturists, Rehabilitation physicians andDepartment Chairperson.
? Work closely with the Department Chairperson in supporting departmental goals
? May be granted additional responsibilities based on consultation with Department Chairperson.
Requirements
? Board Certified/Board Eligible （orequivalent） in Acupuncture andTuina orChinese physician practice license
? Qualified in Basic Life Support.
? Completion of residency training in Acupuncture andTuina in a hospital andprogram acceptable to the Departmental Chairperson andChief Medical Officer.
? Minimum 5 years’ experience post-residency in the clinical arena.
? Fluency Mandarin andEnglish.
